Simba was encouraged to flee rather than face blame for his father's death. Scar succeeds in killing Simba’s father, King Mufasa. Scar had other plans and plots to take over the throne and kill Simba and his family. Mufasa explains the circle of life and that Young Simba will one day be king of the Pridelands. Time passes, and Simba grows into a curious young lion.
